When will construction of “cheap” apartments in Przemyśl and Medyka begin?

A dozen or so days ago, the mayor of Przemyśl, Wojciech Bakun, announced on social media a meeting at the city hall with representatives of the company.
- "The work of the city and the company is focused on correcting the construction project and accepting these changes by the grantor, BGK bank. What will these changes consist of? A few years ago, when we were creating the assumptions for the construction of SIM apartments, we focused primarily on providing apartments for young people who want to become independent and are looking for their first apartment! Therefore, in the construction project, the vast majority of apartments were in the area of 30-40 square meters. However, after analyzing the interest, we notice that the SIM project is more popular with young families who have one or two children. Hence the decision to change the project, which is to increase the number of apartments in the range of 60-70 square meters, at the expense of smaller ones. The grantor, BGK, must agree to such a change. Preparations for an information campaign are currently underway, but we will only start it when we are certain as to how many and what sizes of apartments we will be able to offer. At the moment, we are not conducting any recruitment, nor are we creating allocation lists. We will start this stage after the information campaign. Information about created lists and the lists of authorized persons themselves (of course anonymized in accordance with GDPR) will be publicly available! The SIM company is also preparing to process the loan that it will have to take out to cover part of the investment costs, and is also examining the situation on the contractor market. The situation is made more difficult by the lack of selection of the company's management board president, but that is a topic for a completely different post. At the moment, there is no threat to the implementation of this investment, we only need some time to work out all the details"
